Chemical Packer

Full-time position packing chemicals, fulfilling orders, maintaining stock. High school diploma and ability to lift 50+ pounds required.

Overview

Post Apple Scientific Inc. is seeking a full-time Chemical Packer. This role involves assisting in down-packing materials from bulk containers and fulfilling orders. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, Chemical Packers help maintain stock, clean, and prepare materials for shipping. Additionally, they may be required to create chemical solutions according to company formulas and perform other flexible tasks as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

Down-packing and Order Fulfillment: Measure products in metric units, repackage into sale quantities, and label products according to customer specifications.

Workspace Maintenance: Keep the workspace and tools clean, ensuring a safe and organized environment.

Stock Management: Learn and remember product locations, estimate remaining stock, and maintain knowledge of inventory levels.

Customer Interaction: Answer phone calls, respond to customer questions, and take orders.

Safety Compliance: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.

 

Skills and Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in non-temperature-controlled environments, climb stairs, and navigate narrow aisles.

Technical Skills: Ability to use electric scales and balances, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.

 

 

Additional Qualifications: Forklift certification preferred but not required. Must have valid state identification and be capable of performing repetitive tasks and working as part of a team.

  • Boxing materials for orders.
  • Shelving incoming materials.
  • Answering the phone.
  • Mixing solutions.
  • Cleaning the workspace.

 

Safety and Work Environment

At Post Apple, safety is a top priority. Employees handle potentially dangerous materials, so proper PPE is provided and must be worn appropriately. Chemical Packers will be trained to recognize when PPE is necessary.
